Last night when I couldn't sleep I was googling and looking up all different types of things.
I think I have decided what I want to do!
Grey walls. White furniture + antique oak dresser I need to restore. Plus accents of pink.
Not too much pink. Just a little. She is a girl after all!
Now... I want BUNTING!
I feel like everyone is doing the wall decal things. And although they are cute... I want to do something different... So I'm thinking bunting!
Maybe something like this?
From Etsy shop - Giggleberry |
And then a wall growth chart - been searching trying to find the right one...
I like this one, but I can't find it in pink...
Found in my Real Living Mag from - Kindred Gifts |
And finally I was thinking that above the bunting or somewhere? I could get the letters to spell out her name and paint them a very light pink?
So far it's all in my head... I am still not sure how it's all going to come together?
What do you think?
How did you decide the way to decorate your nursery or child's room?
Are you happy with it?
Got any ideas? Suggestions? Places I can search?
You should make bunting! I made some for Tallulah and it was SO easy! I hung it around her cot! We haven't set up her room yet as she still sleeps in our room! I think your ideas are super cute though! I like the grey, white and accent! And I love love the growth chart!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a really good idea!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour scheme I bet it will be beautiful.
I don't know if you've been on the Australian etsy site: www.madeit.com.au
Not sure if this would work, it depends on the grey of the walls. Try www.thehipinfant.com.au and search bunting the Alimrose Belle bunting might be what you're after. I'm not sure on growth charts I'm still trying to find one I like.
ReplyDeleteRenee, me making bunting would be a disaster! I don't have the craft gene.
ReplyDeleteLila! I don't think that bunting could be any more PERFECT!
thank you so much!
But I am actually going to talk to my husbands brothers girlfriend and the possibility of making it?
She has a sewing machine and I they keep asking what they can get for us.
A something handmade and beautiful would be wonderful!
Jess, that website is so so lovely! Going to check it out more today.
My cousin made bunting for Bay which looks lovely in her room!
ReplyDeleteFor custom bunting that spells out her name try etsy.com
Go the bunting!!
ReplyDeleteBunting isn't that hard to make. I made it and cheated by using a hot glue gun, instead of sewing. Simple!
Another idea that i did recently for baby shower is this: i used mini pegs to string up baby singlets across a room, and i spelt out words on them. Like bunting with a twist. Super cute. I'll blog some pics soon.
