Project A - how far we got

I never really did finish Abi's room at our house.
HERE was may last update.

It was sad pulling her room apart. I took the bunting down and then thought 'oops! Should take some photos!'
So here they are...

I searched far and wide for a growth chart and my mum found this one! I love it! didn't fit perfectly in the shot though and I would have fixed that.

Boori cot, was only $400 with the mataress! Love that it's so simple. The shelves were already in the house and I put the pink ribbon around them. She has way too many toys! Love the original water colour aboue her bed. Bought in Byron Bay for our unmade baby in October 2011

My sister bought this mobile for Abi. A friend of hers makes them. It hung above her chage table.

Opps! Took the bunting down before taking the photo. The letters came off quite well and there was only one small mark on the paint. I painted them myself. I never loved the colour. But I wasn't going to re-paint them!

I bought this old dresser on ebay for a bargain price of $50 I love it! Ther prints were a gift that I had professionally framed.

Toys, Toys and more toys... And the super air conditioning! See that sheep? A gift from a NZ batchelor friend! Abi adores it!

So what I didn't finish was the step latter that I was going to pait that we used as a bedside table type thing in Abi's room and I want to still buy this tree type thing (will try to find a picture) to put on her dresser.
Abi's room was my most favorite room in the whole house.
I'm sad. I miss that room. Not sure how her trmporary 'rental' room will go. Kinds depends if we can put things on walls or not :-(

two

It's been two very full on years.
But two years ago I married the man that makes me smile, laugh, cry, happy, angry, excited, frustrated and more!
And I wouldn't have him any other way!

Today

Today things change. Today we move from one state to another. Today I'm "going home" Today my baby girl is 8 months old! Yesterday she said 'mum' for the first time!

Computer-less

So we had a slight mishap the other day while watching Giggle and Hoot YouTube clips and my computer now has a black screen... That will teach me for looking away for a second, Abi leaning on my computer screen and... Hopefully we can get it fixed tomorrow as I have so mug going on! Feeling very overwhelmed right now. Monday is moving day and Abi will be 8 months old! Tuesday is our 2nd wedding anniversary and basically marks the official day that we begin our new life on Melbourne. Be back as soon and I can! xoxo

Sacrifices and Savings

A few weeks ago when we were in Melbourne we had decided on an area that we would like to live.

But since then we have done a complete 360 and have decided on something very very different.

We have decided to make a bit of a sacrifice living wise and have chosen to live out North a bit and closer to my parents. We have decided to do this to save some money for a good 6 months so that we can buy another house and still be able to keep our terrace in Sydney.

So out to 'the burbs' we go... Renting a brand new 3 br house for $320 a week! 

It seems to be the nicest of the new estates in the area. It's called Laurimar Estate. The house is surrounded by parkland and there is a small 'town centre' with a Woolies, a few small cafes, takeaways etc... and it's all within comfortable walking distance (and walking around my beautiful Balmain I'm plenty used to it!)

It's not exactly where we want to be, but we will be around $2000 a month in front of where we currently are with our expenses and that's a huge saving! And then the tax breaks will add up even more!

Here is Erin and Abi as we were going go to look at the house.  Suiting 'the burbs' lifestyle???

Abigail's First Easter (& Chocolate!)

We hope you all have had a wonderful Easter break! We sure did!
Abi had hr first taste of chocolate! (every time a little bit dropped I stole it away!)
We had a really lovely time catching up with friends and spending quality family time just the three of us, but we did really miss the Easter family holiday :-(
Next year we will be back holidaying.

The past week or so this is what Abigail has been up to...

And 'rocking' on all fours too... I fear the crawling is imminent... Oh no!

Home Beautiful?

On the 19th of March I posted "It's Ours!"
And showed the pictures of the house (our house) - it was the day we bought it.
The property had been 'staged' as there was currently no one living in it.
Now just over a year later we are moving out :-( but onto bigger and better things!
On Monday we had he photos taken for the agent to list the property for lease!

And here they are! I'm super impressed!

Our bedroom - I have FINALLY ordered other photos for behind the bed... But will never have them up here :-(

Our outdoor area. We did the deck! (Well the 'deck man' did!) it was finished the day before I gave birth!

Front of house - we changed it from blue to black and added security grill on window and door

Kitchen. We haven't done a thing. We probably would have eventually changed it.

Lounge and Living area. Got rid of the nasty red very quickly!

It's quite sad to be moving from this house really. I adore our little house. We bought our baby home to this house.
And just reading through my 'it's our's' post I realised that I never mentioned that, that was also the day I first felt Abi move inside me!

Sadly no photos of Abi's room :-( they only do 4 + facade and they didn't think a photo of the second room was necessary.

Now to find  the perfect tenant!

Babies First Easter

I may or may not have blogged about the cute Hallmark Jingle dog and book that my mum bought for Abi just before christmas?

Abi just loved it and seemed to get so much enjoyment from it.

In the box there was a list of all the other Hallmark books and characters that you could get.

I was super excited to see that there was an Abigail!!!

Problem was it wasn't yet available :-(

But then jsut the other day my sister called me! She was in a local newsagent to her and there was Abigail's there!

Now this is going to be the perfect Easter gift for Abi!

I can not wait to give it to her!!!

I'm going to place it at the end of her bed (cot) for when she wakes up!

I always remember waking up on Easter Sunday to find our Easter gifts at the end of the bed and I can't wait to do the same with Abi!

I'm no vegetarian!

(But we have nothing against people that are!)

On Saturday night we went out for an early dinner with some ver good friends of ours. They have 3 children. This is Bella their youngest. She is about 6 weeks older than Abi.

We ran into so many people that we knew that night! 

Such a child friendly place!

If you are in the area, I suggest calling into 'The East Village - Balmain East' for scrummy food, great atmosphere and always more than happy to have the kids tag along!

My new years resolution. To take a family photo one a month...

With Erin being off for a whole month you would think we would have done well this month...

Not really... we managed 2 photos - both taken when we were in the Hunter Valley.

At Peterson's Champagne House - Abi loved the bubbles coming from the ceiling. We just managed this shot!

At Tintilla Estate in front of the vines. So many shots taken! Still couldn't manage to get Abi to look at the camera!

Now April is upon us! We will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary this month! wow!
