Today I am 13 weeks! 27 to go!

I just read that bug is the size of a Peach! 

Which is quite fitting as I'm finally starting to feel quite peachy! 

(Or well, better, not sick... You get the idea)

Going to start taking 'bump' photos soon. 

We were going to start last Friday, but were really busy and kind of forgot. And because I don't really like odd numbers, I think we will start next week at week 14.

There isn't much to show just yet. And I haven't put on any weight yet, but its a start.

I kind of wish I had of taken a photo when we first found out, so I could compare and show that I used to actually have a waist and a fairly flattish stomach.

It's hard to believe that it's now been 10 months since we were married.

I am enjoying married life immensely and I am pretty damn sure my husband is too!

We are off to dinner tonight. It's become our little tradition to have a really nice meal somewhere at least once a month to mark the occasion.

But I can't help but think of Christchurch and the horrible devastation that is happening over there at the moment.

We went to New Zealand for our honeymoon - We started in Queenstown and finished in Christchurch. 

It's so sad to watch the news and all the television coverage and see places we went to now ruined. To see landmarks we walked past and admired. To see areas that we admired looking nothing like they did anymore and maybe never will.

When will all this devastation stop? It's all becoming too much.

$10 buck lunch

Check out this menu. Sound too good to be true? Well it's not!

A few friends of mine have been raving about the $10 lunch at the Ruby L'Otel (Hotel) on Rozelle and I just wasn't quite sure I believed them or not.

So, yesterday I met up with one of the ravers for a quick spot of lunch.

She always has the Grilled Chicken with steamed Asian greens, and I decided to have the same.

Well, I can tell you that I am now a raver too. It was so delicious! Yummy tasting and beautifully grilled chicken.

And to top it off, I think I have just had the best soda (fresh) lime and bitters I have ever had in my life.

If your out and about during the week and feel like a nice spot of lunch, I do suggest heading to the Ruby on Victoria Road in Rozelle. 

There were some work men sorting some stuff out, but it's doesn't have the whole dirty pub feel you might expect. It was nice, clean, quiet and tidy. AND VERY CHILD FRIENDLY TOO!

It's done. We are really selling. The house is listed! (Well nearly - Will be by the end of the day...)

First open is on Saturday at 10am. Fingers crossed it sells quickly and for lots!

It's all happening!

We have been and will be for the rest of the week VERY BUSY BEES...
It is actually happening!
We are really and truly putting our house on the market.
I have taken a few hours off this morning to get rid of some stuff and do a tidy up.
We have our spare room full of our wedding presents (we weren't going to use all our nice new stuff till after the renovations) and boxes of crap really... Especially my husbands magazines! He has them from the 80's... Grr.
We have rented a storage space and I have the moving guys coming shortly to move all the stuff for me.
Then I'm going to set the spare room up as a bit of a study/reading room.
Doing to cheaply... Very cheaply. We will only use the stuff we have. Will put a picture or two up on the wall and hep presto! A proper working spare room!
Friday the lady is coming to take the photos for the website and stuff.
Monday it will be listed on RealEstate.com and Domain.com
And first open for inspection is next Saturday the 21st of Feb.

So much to do in such a small space of time... And we are off to Melbourne this weekend for my brother-in laws 30th.

I will post before and after pictures of the spare room after Friday too!

Does this mean I will have the change the name of my blog? I'm thinking so... Hmm... Need suggestions

Happy Valentines Day

This is what my husband and I gave each other for Valentines day today.

The all clear on Bug!

The scan was AMAZING!

What more would you want or need for Valentines day!

Cheeky thing was moving around quite a lot! The radiologist couldn't get all the measurements straight away and we had to slow down, relax and wait a while.

And hearing the heart beat! WOW!

The week that was

Sunday - Was dinner at friends and a chance to see little baby Arkie again! Talked babies way too much, but had such a lovely time and a good old laugh. Loved that cool change that came through.
Monday - Work day, and very very busy. Get home and crash. Thank goodness for the cooler weather though!
Tuesday - Another crazy crazy work day. Then lovely dinner with friends and a melted heart at watching my husband with our friends baby Hania and making her giggle like I have never seen her giggle before
Wednesday - Decided that we are going to put our house on the market... No renovations... Worked out it wouldn't be ready in time for bug and maybe we have bitten off more than we can chew. Seen a house we love, but can't and wont do anything till we sell our place. Kind of sad, but maybe relieved at the same time? Friends announced that they are expecting! (We did know through another source) and the due date is the 23rd of August. They are 11 days in front of us!
Thursday - Work lunch that was very productive! Expensive city parking (lucky work pay this) and then home in the afternoon to sleep as I am so so tried at the moment. Night time nausea :-(
Friday - Today... Um. I have done something naughty... I have "chucked a sickie" today. It's going to be hot. I'm staying in and taking it very very easy.

Have a lovely weekend everyone. I'm counting down the days till Monday 9.30am when we have our next scan and NT tests on Bug. Fingers crossed everything is ok and we can start shouting from the roof tops that we are having a baby!!!

Only the other day my husband and I were talking about the fact that we NEVER go to the movies.
I think we have been together maybe twice in over four years!

Today when I came home I decided to finally get online and spend my Red Balloon voucher I received for my birthday last year!
The first thing to catch my eye was a Gold Class Movie package. Looked reasonably priced at $150 for 4 tickets and they don't all have to be used at the same time.
I'm not a fan of facials or massages. I'm not going to pay $99 for a bottle of Moet that I can't drink and is cheaper to buy from First Choice Liquor and there are so many 'adverture' activities I can't do now anyway...

So, 4 x Gold Class movie tickets it is! I'm excited! This WILL make us head to the movies! Maybe even this weekend if we get the tickets in time!

Any suggestions of a good movie we could head out to see?


Oh and no nausea today! None! I do stress that maybe things aren't ok, but I am doing my best to not think like that and just be happy that I feel fine!!!
Next scan and tests next Monday. Can't wait!

Feeling Hot Hot Hot

Yesterday was HOT.
Last night was HOT.
It is still HOT.
I am 10 weeks pregnant with nausea that lasts most of the day god damn it. This is KILLING me.
We are expected to get a cool change come through around lunch time today. It can't come fast enough.

Sydney has sweated through its hottest night on record to end its longest heatwave, but relief is only hours away.

The overnight low of 27.6 degrees was one degree higher than the previous record of 26.6, which occurred in February 1973.

It was still 33.2 degrees at midnight - seven degrees above the average daytime maximum temperature.

The sweltering night followed a record-breaking seven days of temperatures over 30 degrees, a feat never before seen in 150 years of records of Sydney weather.

Western suburbs also broke records with eight consecutive days hotter than 35 degrees.

Yesterday, the mercury peaked at 41.5 degrees in the city, 42.2 degrees at the airport and 41 degrees in Penrith.

It has been decided. We are putting air conditioning in when we finally do these renovations. I don't care how much it costs.

Saturday Treats

I had to work this morning and I am also working Sunday morning.
Therefore today I deserved a treat.
Mmm, Takes me back to our time in France nearly two years ago.
I'm surprised I didn't turn into a chocolate croissant when we were there!

The BEST nana!

So not only do I have one of the best nana's in the world...
But little bug is also going to have one of THE BEST nana's in the world!

I came home today to find a little package sitting on my front door step.

Inside was a little gift addressed to Baby 'O'

This was the card

And inside it read: 

"For Baby 'O' 10 weeks down! 30 to go!"

Then:

"Why? Because I'm going to be a nana!!"

And these were bugs gifts:

My mum is the coolest! It must be in her genes. Cos her mum, my nana is the coolest! 

Lets hope they passed the gene down to me!
