Mmm Macarons

Mmm, Macarons!
Last night I was very much craving some macarons, so this morning before I headed off to work I popped into Adriano Zumbos and picked up these lovely macarons for me and the guys at work.
They were utterly delish! I had 3!!!
Great for the taste buds, not so great for the hips...

Not feeling very bloggy at the moment. My husband had just found out he has diabetes.
We really don't know much. We have an appointment to go back to the GP on Monday (he is currently on a weeks leave) and I have so far booked an appointment with the specialist for the 18th of November (that's the earliest we can get in - ridiculous)

  1. Those macarons look delicious! I'm jealous that you've got Adriano Zumbos so close to you.

Sorry to hear about your husband's diabetes, but hopefully its easily managed x

  2. I have got to try macarons. It seems that everyone is raving about them, and they just look so cute! And delicious.

That really sucks about your hubbys diabetes. On a positive note- modern medicine has a very solid understanding of this disease and Im sure in practically all cases it can be managed relatively easily with a combination of medication and/or diet.
I worked with a guy who had adult onset type 1 diabetes and although it did require some daily meds he lived a very normal active life with lots of travel, big family, adventure sports, eating out and socialising.. not too sure about eating macarons though :)

It sucks that you have to wait so long for a specialist appointment though! And when you don't know much it is way too easy to imagine all the worse case scenarios.. Hope the GP can give you some more info and alleviate some of your fears on Monday.
    Big Hugs

  3. I'm sorry to hear about your husband's diabetes as well. My mum got Type diabetes 5 years ago, and through management of her diet and doing simple exercise (she was totally inactive before!) she has been off her tablets and doing really well. I'm so proud of her as she can be quite stubborn and for once she listened to my advice!

So I hope in your husband's case it isn't too serious and in the meantime try not to stress too much (easier said than done I know!). x

  5. Hope your hubby is ok. I have a friend that works in that field if you want me to forward any questions to her?

Macaroons are SO good. That picture made me want some now.
